MY07 Subaru Impreza STi "Малышка" Journal/Blog

So I have changed the front and the rear sway bars to Whiteline Racing sway bars.

I have been to three road course events and by last one I realized that I cannot go any faster around the track with my current (stock) suspension setup. Yeah, you'd say "you should get more horsepower". Well, no. I think Subaru engineers did a great job setting up the car and making it balanced. They made it as good as it needs to be for 300bhp. While I boosted it up a notch to stage 2 it got unbalanced a bit. Going faster around the track means making things stiffer.

The reason I went with Whiteline bars as opposed to other manufacturers is mainly because of overwhelming positive feedback they get and also because they are solid and come in big 27/24mm sizes.

First off, lets see the difference between the stock and new sway bars.

As you can see the new bars are bigger and more straight.

Endlinks

Endlinks are also much beefier than stock units.

Here's a bigger rear sway bar mount

Here's a comparison picture of the rear sway bar links stock vs Kartboy links installed

Originally my front sway bar links were installed in this manner:

It has no spacer which, I found out later, Kartboy says should be put on with installation of aftermarket front sway bar.

After ordering their spacers I have put them on and this is the final look of them installed and torqued to 35 ft/lb.
